Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- Cultural diversity needs to be celebrated and meaningfully linked to economic advancement in an increasingly globalised world, noted anthropologist and former Chairman of the National Monument Authority Kishor Kumar Basa said.
Speaking at a programme organised on Thursday to mark the "World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development" at the SOA Centre for Preservation, Propagation and Restoration of Ancient Culture and Heritage of India (PPRACHIN) in Bhubaneswar, Prof. Basa said globalisation had exposed people to newer cultures and traditions, creating opportunities for mutual learning and adaptation.
