Ranchi, Feb. 27 -- The Central University of Jharkhand on Friday inaugurated a two-day national conference on Recent Developments in Mathematics and Statistics (RDMS-2026).

The conference, jointly organised by the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics under the School of Natural Sciences, is being held in hybrid mode on February 27 and 28.

Prof P K Parida, Convener and Head, Department of Mathematics, said the event aims to promote scholarly dialogue on emerging and interdisciplinary research in mathematical and statistical sciences.

Prof K B Panda, Head, Department of Statistics, highlighted the expanding role of statistics and data science in addressing industrial and societal challenges.
