Ranchi, June 2 -- The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) on Tuesday launched a four-day environment awareness and community outreach campaign ahead of World Environment Day 2026.
Organised by the Department of Environmental Sciences, the campaign aims to promote environmental awareness among students and local communities through a series of activities till June 5.
A painting competition for school students and an environmental awareness programme for villagers were organised on the opening day. Discussions focused on climate change, water conservation, biodiversity protection and sustainable use of natural resources.
