Prithviraj SinghDehradun, Sept. 6 -- The Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) administration has given a new life to a month-old female elephant calf found trapped in a river two days ago. The calf was separated from its group trapped in the floodwater of river Malan in the CTR. The calf is currently receiving treatment and full medical care.
CTR officials said that the female elephant calf was separated from its group nearly three days ago in the Lansdowne Forest Division of Pauri District.
Lansdowne forest officials were informed that a baby elephant had been washed away by the flooding Malan river near Kotdwar. CTR officials said a team of Lansdowne Forest Division was immediately sent for search and rescue of the missing baby elephant.
