Maddur (Karnataka), Sept. 11 -- Senior BJP leader and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) CT Ravi has been booked for allegedly making a provocative speech during a Ganapati immersion programme in Maddur town , police said today.
The complaint was filed by Maddur police Sub-Inspector Manjunath, who alleged that Ravi's remarks during the stage event had the potential to disturb communal harmony. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code related to promoting enmity between communities and disturbing public tranquility.
