Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, has signed a Technology Transfer Agreement with Viridis Biopharma Private Limited for an IND-ready phytopharmaceutical developed from Gymnema sylvestre for treating diabetic foot ulcers.

The technology, developed by CSIR-IICT's Department of Applied Biology under Dr Anthony Addlagatta, has potential applications in other chronic wounds and inflammatory skin disorders. It was developed under the CSIR Phytopharmaceutical Mission Phase-III, an official statement said on Wednesday.
