Shimla, Feb. 27 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta ordered a formal inquiry on Friday into alleged social media posts by Shimla Urban Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Oshin Sharma for alleged promotion of fitness brands while serving in a public office.
Issuing directions for a probe, the Chief Secretary has asked the administration to examine whether the posts in question violate Rule 15(1) of the Civil Services Conduct Rules. The rule bars government servants from rendering services to private firms or engaging in commercial activities while holding public posts.
