Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- Launching a scathing attack on the ruling administration over soaring household expenses, NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule warned that runaway inflation has utterly shattered the financial stability of common families across Maharashtra.

Staging an aggressive protest outside the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) alongside party workers, some wearing garlands of vegetables and grains to symbolize the crisis, Sule accused both central and state governments of turning a blind eye to public misery. Directing her criticism at policymakers, she challenged them to look beyond government statistics and ask the women managing everyday households how severely the cost of living has escalated.
