Ranchi, Oct. 11 -- A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held today at the CRPF 133rd Battalion Camp in Dhurwa to pay tribute to Head Constable Mahendra Lashkar, who was martyred in an IED blast triggered by Naxals in Jharkhand's Saranda forest, Chaibasa district, last night.
Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar attended the ceremony as the chief guest and laid a wreath in honor of the fallen soldier.
Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP), CRPF Inspector General, and several senior officials were also present and expressed their deep respect for the martyr's supreme sacrifice.
