New Delhi, Jan. 23 -- Delhi Police have apprehended two criminals associated with the Himanshu Bhau Gang after a brief encounter, an officer said on Friday.

According to the police, the arrested individuals have been identified as Vicky and Chander Bhan, both of whom are linked to multiple heinous crimes, including murder, attempted murder, and extortion.

Vicky, who carried a cash reward of Rs 5,000 declared by Haryana Police, was intercepted along with Chander Bhan late on the night of Thursday.

Acting on specific intelligence about the gang planning a major crime ahead of Republic Day celebrations, they intercepted a white Hyundai i20 on the Hirankudna-Dichau Village Road under the UER-2 flyover around 1:00 AM.
