Mumbai, May 4 -- Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar n Monday directed Suburban District Collector Saurabh Katiyar to prepare a comprehensive plan for tree plantation on 65 acres of land held by various authorities within Aarey Colony during the upcoming monsoon. He also instructed the Collector to prepare a comprehensive action plan to increase the density of the Aarey forest.
As announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the state government is set to undertake a massive mission to plant 300 crore trees. Considering the rising temperatures in Mumbai, Minister Shelar conducted an inspection visit of Aarey Colony on Monday to enhance the participation of the Mumbai Suburban district in this initiative.
