Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 7 -- Vattiyoorkavu MLA and CPI(M) leader V.K. Prasanth has decided to vacate his office functioning at the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation building in Sasthamangalam and shift operations to a newly rented office at Maruthamkuzhi within his constituency, following a dispute with local BJP ward councillor and former DGP R. Sreelekha (Rtd IPS).

The controversy began after BJP State vice president R. Sreelekha demanded that the MLA vacate the room he had been using in the corporation building, stating that the space was required for her councillor's office.
