Hyderabad, April 22 -- Communist Party of India (CPI) Telangana Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday strongly condemned the RTC management's warning to employees against participating in what it termed an "illegal strike," saying such threats of wage cuts and disciplinary action were unacceptable.
In a statement, he asserted that striking is a democratic right of workers and said RTC employees had resorted to agitation only after exhausting all avenues for redressal of their grievances. Sambasiva Rao made it clear that if any punitive action is taken against workers, the CPI would stand firmly in their support.
