Patna, June 3 -- The Communist Party of India (CPI) Wednesday strongly criticised the Bihar government's decision to give notice former chief minister and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council Rabri Devi to vacate her official residence, describing the move as discriminatory and politically motivated.

CPI Bihar state secretary Ram Naresh Pandey said here that the official residence at 10 Circular Road had been allotted to Rabri Devi in her capacity as the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, a position she continues to hold. Therefore, repeatedly issuing notices to vacate the residence appears to be driven by malice, he alleged.
