Agartala, Aug. 25 -- Tension sparked in the Jogendranagar area of Agartala last night, which has led to a series of accusations between the ruling BJP and opposition CPI (M). This stems from a BJP rally focused on an ongoing electricity-bill issue, followed by alleged acts of vandalism at the CPI (M)'s local office.

According to reports, the BJP organised a procession from Vidyasagar Bazar in the evening to support the government's recent decisions regarding the subsidy of the entire amount of increased electricity bills. The rally moved through Jogendranagar, escalating tensions near the CPI (M) office.
