Hyderabad, July 5 -- The CPI(M) Telangana State Committee on Sunday urged the Election Commission to extend the ongoing voter enumeration process in the state until August 30, citing delays, confusion, and inadequate public awareness.

In a statement, CPI(M) State Secretary John Wesley said enumeration forms had reached less than 30 per cent of voters, leaving a majority of eligible voters yet to receive them. He said agricultural activities in rural areas had also made it difficult for people to complete the process within the stipulated time.
