New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Monday renewed its demand for scrapping the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, accusing both of contributing to what it described as the continuing deterioration of India's education system.
In a statement, the CPI(M) Polit Bureau said the demand had acquired greater urgency following the cancellation of three UGC-NET examinations conducted by the NTA after errors were detected in the question papers. The party said the episode had once again exposed the agency's inability to conduct national-level examinations in a reliable and transparent manner.
