Kolkata, Oct. 13 -- Police on Monday summoned senior advocate and CPI(M) leader Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya to appear at two Kolkata police stations for questioning in connection with cases registered against him over his remarks against Hindutva groups.
A notice to this effect was issued stating that cases have been registered against him at the Garfa and Kasba police stations. He is required to appear at the police stations on October 13 and 14 for questioning.
Last Thursday, a group of miscreants allegedly attacked Bhattacharya's residence, smashed window panes by throwing liquor bottles and hurled abusive language at the veteran lawyer.
