New Delhi, March 8 -- The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has on Sunday strongly condemned the recent increase in the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders, calling it "cruel" and "anti-people."In a statement released on Friday, the CPI(M) said the hike of Rs 60 for domestic consumers affects even the poorest beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, while the Rs 114.50 increase for commercial cylinders will ultimately burden ordinary consumers. "Together, these increases will impose greater pressures on middle-class and working people who are already reeling under relentless price rise and shrinking real incomes," the statement said.
