New Delhi, June 3 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Wednesday expressed solidarity with workers involved in recent labour agitations in Noida, alleging that they had been subjected to police repression, false criminal cases and dismissals from their jobs for exercising their trade union rights.

A CPI(M) delegation led by party General Secretary M A Baby met workers who were arrested during the Noida workers' movement and were recently released on bail after spending nearly a month in jail. According to the party, many of the workers have also been terminated from their employment following the protests.
