Hyderabad, Sept. 6 -- Comrade L Chennaiah (78), who served the Communist Party of India (CPI) for nearly five decades at Makhdoom Bhavan, the party's Telangana State office, passed away on Sunday while undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.
Chennaiah had initially joined the construction work at Makhdoom Bhavan as a labourer. Impressed by his dedication and work ethic, the party leadership later appointed him to work at the office. Over the years, his hard work, sincerity and honesty earned him the respect and appreciation of several party leaders.
CPI Telangana State Secretary and MLA Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao expressed deep condolences over Chennayya's death and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family.
