Hyderabad, Aug. 2 -- Communist Party of India ( CPI) Telangana State Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao on Sunday asserted that the Communist Party of India (CPI) is committed to resolving people's issues rather than capturing political power, and called on party cadres to intensify struggles for public welfare.
Addressing the CPI Medchal-Malkajgiri District Council meeting at Makhdoom Bhavan, he said the party has always fought to safeguard the rights of the people, irrespective of whether it is in power.
He alleged that unemployment, rising prices, privatisation of education and healthcare, the weakening of public sector undertakings and anti-worker and anti-farmer policies have increased the hardships of common people.
