Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 24 -- The Communist Party of India (CPI), the second-largest ally of the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala, has reiterated its opposition to implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) through the Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) initiative in the state, asserting that it reflects the "ideological agenda of the RSS".
CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam said that both the CPI and CPI(M) at the national level consider the NEP incompatible with their vision for public education. CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby has expressed a similar stance.
