Bengaluru, March 18 -- A fiery exchange unfolded in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly after minister Priyank Kharge highlighted the lack of participation by BJP legislators in the state's earlier cow adoption initiative.

During the session, Kharge questioned BJP MLAs on how many cows they had adopted under the scheme introduced by the previous government. He cited that former minister Prabhu Chauhan had adopted 11 cows and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai around five to six, but claimed that no other BJP legislator had participated, putting many members on the defensive.
