Aizawl, May 19 -- Mizoram is witnessing a fresh rise in Covid-19 infections, with health authorities reporting a noticeable spike in cases during May, particularly in Aizawl district where the majority of recent infections have been detected.
Officials from the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) under the state Health and Family Welfare Department said on Tuesday that 90 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the state so far this year. Of these, two patients remain under treatment as active cases at present.
