Pune, Aug. 20 -- In a significant order that could have wider implications for action against unauthorised constructions, the 21st Civil Judge, Senior Division, Pune, has rejected an application seeking a stay on demolition proceedings and restoration of the status quo in a case involving the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
The suit filed by Dhruv Hemant Hadke against PMRDA and others, sought an immediate halt to the demolition action being undertaken. The plaintiff contended that demolition proceedings had been initiated on the basis of a notice dated June 4, 2026, without providing him with proper notice and an adequate opportunity of hearing. He therefore sought an interim order maintaining the status quo.
