Kangra, May 30 -- A rehearsal for the counting of votes for the 2026 Zila Parishad and Block Development Committee (BDC) elections was conducted at the auditorium of Government Polytechnic Kangra on Friday to ensure smooth and successful counting on May 31.
The rehearsal was held under the supervision of Assistant Returning Officer-cum-SDM Kangra Ishant Jaswal, Assistant Returning Officer-cum-Block Development Officer Parul Katyar, and Assistant Returning Officer-cum-Tehsildar Prakash Chand.
During the session, counting officials and staff were briefed in detail about various aspects of the counting process, including scrutiny of ballot papers, counting procedures, preparation of results, and adherence to Election Commission guidelines.
