Kolhapur, June 1 -- Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national president and former MP Raju Shetty has alleged that corruption in the Maharashtra police department has led to a flood of illegal business.
In a press release, Shetty while justifying Shinde Shiv Sena MLA Nilesh Rane's statement in Sindhudurg yesterday, said that "Rane has presented a very real incident to the society. The burning truth that illegal business have flourished in the state is being seen with open eyes by the entire society".
He had said just last week that Maharashtra's progress has become like that of "Udta Punjab".
Shetty said that the corruption statistics was higher in Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune, Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nagpur, Solapur, Thane, Nav...
