Satara, April 8 -- The election of the District Council (Zilla Parishad) President in Satara has sparked major controversy, with fresh allegations now being raised against the newly-elected President, Priya Mahesh Shinde.
The ZP president post election had already drawn significant attention due to a direct contest between Shiv Sena and BJP, allies within the ruling Mahayuti. The issue had even triggered uproar in the state legislature, where Minister Shambhuraj Desai (Shinde Sena) had demanded the suspension of Satara SP Tushar Doshi.
