Firozabad, Dec. 28 -- Police have arrested a contractor, accused of embezzling Rs 2.41 crore from customers' accounts at an Indian Bank branch, nine months after the case came to light, officials confirmed on Sunday.

The accused was apprehended on Saturday morning on the Mustafabad Road ahead of Nagla Jat.

Inspector, Jasrana police station, Rajesh Pandey said the arrested accused has been identified as Ravish, a resident of Farida village under Eka police station. He was currently living in Gokul Dham Colony near the service road in the Shikohabad police station area. Ravish had been absconding since the registration of the case.
