Nagpur, Nov. 4 -- The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the regularization of contractual employees serving in the Public Health Department under the National Health Mission who have completed ten years of service.

The decision, taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today, is expected to benefit hundreds of health department employees across the state.

In addition, the Cabinet decided to set up an Urban Health Commissionerate to promote decentralization and enhance the efficiency of urban health services.
