Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- The opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday accused the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Odisha of failing to pass on the benefits of declining international crude oil prices to consumers, resulting in a sustained rise in the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG, and other essential commodities.

Addressing a press conference here, BJD president Snehaangini Chhuria said soaring fuel and cooking gas prices had placed an unbearable burden on households, small businesses, and low-income families, even as global crude oil prices have softened in recent months.
