Sitapur (UP), Sept. 7 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress state president Ajay Rai today alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has come to power by "stealing votes".
Addressing the 'Vote Chor Gaddi Chhor' rally organised at Ramlila Maidan in Biswan town, Rai said, "The BJP governments formed in other parts of the country, from the center to the states, have been formed by stealing votes."Talking about his defeat by just 1.50 lakh votes in Varanasi seat, he said that the Prime Minister's own seat has been won dishonestly. "The Election Commission did not give any update on the Varanasi seat until 1:30 pm and victory was announced directly after 5:00 pm," he claimed.
