New Delhi, May 1 -- The Congress on Friday criticised union Home Minister Amit Shah for what it described as his silence on key demands of the people of Ladakh during his visit to the region, even as he highlighted the display of sacred Buddhist relics.
In a statement, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused the Home Minister of "basking in the glory" of the relics while ignoring longstanding local aspirations for statehood, Sixth Schedule status, and safeguards for land and employment.
