Palampur, Oct. 26 -- BJP Himachal Pradesh co-incharge and Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh on Monday accused the Congress of spreading confusion over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls out of frustration over repeated electoral defeats.
Addressing a BJP organizational meeting in Palampur, she alleged that the Himachal Pradesh government was misusing official machinery and public resources to mobilize support for the Congress rally in Delhi.
Singh said every eligible citizen must be included in the voters' list and stressed that transparency and accuracy in electoral rolls were essential for strengthening democracy. She also accused the Congress of double standards in its criticism of the Election Commission.
