Pune, Feb. 24 -- Congress spokesperson Hanumant Pawar was allegedly attacked at Mitra Mandal Chowk in Pune, triggering a political controversy.
Pawar has accused workers affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party of carrying out the assault.
Speaking here on Tuesday, Pawar alleged that six individuals were involved in what he described as a pre-planned and life-threatening attack. He claimed that a pistol was brandished during the incident and that he was physically assaulted with intent to kill.
