New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- Congress general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal on Tuesday stepped up the party's attack on the Narendra Modi government over unemployment and skill development, claiming that 8.7 crore young people were unemployed and that only 8.25 per cent of them had the skills required to secure employment.
In a post on social media platform X, Venugopal said the figures exposed what he termed the "ugly reality" behind the government's "Amrit Kaal" narrative. He said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign was bringing the concerns and frustrations of young people to the forefront.
