New Delhi, July 12 -- Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh on Sunday stepped up the party's attack on the Centre over the alleged theft of offerings at the Bhagwan Shri Ram Temple, accusing the Narendra Modi government of shielding those responsible and reiterating the demand for an independent investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court.
In a post on social media platform X, Ramesh said it had been a month since the alleged irregularities involving temple donations came to light, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had remained silent on the issue of accountability.
