Ranchi, April 28 -- The Congress on Tuesday rejected allegations by the Bharatiya Janata Party on a treasury-linked issue in Jharkhand, terming them politically motivated.
State Congress general secretary and media in-charge Rakesh Sinha said any alleged irregularities linked to the treasury were being examined with transparency and seriousness, and those found guilty would face action.
"The government has put in place multi-level inquiries, including departmental committees, CID and an SIT, which reflects its commitment to a thorough probe," Sinha said.
He said the BJP should verify facts before making allegations and accused it of raising issues based on incomplete information for political purposes.
