Mumbai, Nov. 11 -- In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming local body elections, the Congress on Monday announced that it will contest the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections independently, opting out of any alliance or seat-sharing arrangement with partners from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition.
