Ranchi, June 4 -- The Congress on Thursday nominated Pranav Jha as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha election from Jharkhand.

The announcement was made by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), which released its list of candidates for the biennial and by-elections to the Rajya Sabha from various states.

The list, approved by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, named Jha as the party's nominee from Jharkhand.

The Congress also announced candidates for Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
