Mumbai, Aug. 1 -- Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, questioning the ruling dispensation's selective outrage over respect for mothers and political decorum.
Addressing the media in Mumbai on the birth anniversary of the legendary folk poet Annabhau Sathe, Gaikwad slammed the Prime Minister's recent remarks where he claimed to "forgive youths who hurled abuses involving mothers," while pointing out the "BJP's own history of using derogatory language against the Gandhi family".
