New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury on Tuesday moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha, seeking an immediate discussion on the Centre's directive mandating the compulsory pre-installation of the Sanchar Saathi application on all smartphones sold or imported in the country.

In her notice, Chowdhury said the Department of Telecommunications' circular, which requires that the app be preloaded in a manner that it cannot be deleted, amounts to a serious infringement of citizens' fundamental rights.
