Hyderabad, Sept. 9 -- Members of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council belonging to the Congress party on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, seeking his intervention to protect the dignity, safety and self-respect of Dalits and women within and outside the Legislature.
The Congress leaders alleged that September 7 was a "dark day" in Telangana's history, accusing BRS MLCs Tatha Madhu and Naveen Reddy of targeting and humiliating Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar with an alleged derogatory remark against his deceased mother.
