Ranchi, Feb. 5 -- The Jharkhand Congress said allegations of Rs 10,000 crore missing from the state exchequer relate to financial irregularities during the BJP's tenure, dismissing claims made by leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi against the present government.

State Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti said that after the formation of Jharkhand, audits of state treasuries were not conducted for years, despite the BJP remaining in power for over one-and-a-half decades. He said this raises serious questions about the financial management and intent of successive BJP-led governments.
