Panchkula, July 22 -- Tension gripped Panchkula on Wednesday as Haryana Police detained senior Congress leaders, MLAs and hundreds of party workers after they attempted to march towards the BJP's Haryana state headquarters, Panchkamal, during a protest over alleged paper leak cases and the police action on students' demonstrations.
Among those detained were former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and Panchkula MLA Chander Mohan, Haryana Congress in-charge Sanjay Dutt, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narendra Singh and several party legislators and office-bearers.
