Pinjore, Sept. 20 -- Congress national general secretary and CWC member Kumari Selja on Saturday raised concerns over the condition of roads and drinking water supply in the Kalka-Pinjore area, saying basic civic amenities needed to be improved in line with the needs of the growing population.

Addressing a block-level Congress workers' convention at K Farm in Pinjore in the Kalka Assembly constituency, Selja said poor road conditions at several places were causing inconvenience to residents and called for timely repairs and regular maintenance.

She also highlighted complaints of irregular drinking water supply in parts of the area, saying residents should not have to struggle for basic amenities.
