Hyderabad, July 21 -- union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday criticised the Congress party for staging a dharna outside the Prime Minister's residence, alleging that it had chosen "political theatre" over constructive debate in Parliament.
In a statement, the union Minister said that while Parliament was in session, it was the responsibility of the Opposition to participate in debates, raise issues and contribute to the democratic process.
Instead, he alleged, the Congress was disrupting proceedings inside Parliament and resorting to protests outside the Prime Minister's residence.
