Khammam, Dec. 28 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Sunday asserted that Congress ideology alone can safeguard the nation and warned that politics driven by religious hatred causes lasting damage to society.
He was addressing a press conference at the District Congress Office in Khammam on the occasion of the All India Congress Party Foundation Day.
Recalling December 28 as a historic day marking the birth of the Congress Party, Bhatti Vikramarka said the party led the freedom struggle against the British Empire and laid the foundations for India's independence at a time when the country's wealth and resources were being plundered.
