Hyderabad, Oct. 28 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao today accused the Congress government of betraying persons with disabilities (Divyangs) by failing to fulfill its pre-election promises.
Rao met with several Divyang representatives at his office and enquired about their problems.
Expressing anguish over the government's apathy, he alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's government had deceived the disabled community after promising significant welfare measures.
The Divyang representatives said the government had failed to raise their monthly pension from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 as promised, and neglected the distribution of modern assistive devices or the implementation of a special employment quota.
